Raquel

It’s so wonderful to see Raquel again after three months. She has grown so much since the last time and has a lot of new skills to show off! Not only can she sit up all by herself, she’s almost crawling and has two shiny new teeth coming in! :)

We had such a great time running around and exploring places to shoot. Thanks Amie and Scott for hanging out and giving me another opportunity to shoot pics of your precious little girl!

Ben and Jackie

Ben and Jackie are business partners who needed portraits taken for marketing collateral. I was so excited when Ben asked to shoot in Big Top Candy Shop.  If you have never been, GO! It is an old-timey candy shop complete with a real soda fountain, calliope music, nostalgic candies from when you were a kid, and even a cigarette machine that dispenses…you guessed it…candy cigarettes. I absolutely adore this place and I will pimp it out every chance I get! We all had a great time during the shoot and walked up and down South Congress and found backdrops with great color and texture. Jackie is a cupcake nut, so we stopped by Hey Cupcake for a quick shot. She also suggests Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop for you buttercream fiends out there. Thanks Ben and Jackie for a fun afternoon!

We tried chocolate-covered bacon! WEIRD.

Evie

Marta and Chris welcomed a new baby girl into the family. At three weeks old, Evie is already getting ready for a new adventure…moving! The family is already in the middle of packing for their move to Omaha. Talk about an eventful month! We had a great session, and I hope they come to visit Austin often so I can do it again. Bon Voyage Marta and family!

Big sis LOVED the camera

Amira loves her new baby sister!

Christina+Greg

Christina and Greg are two of the most dedicated triathletes I know. So much so, that Chris was spotted at the gym bright and early at 8 am on her wedding day! (She just qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Clearwater, FL – check out her blog to read about her most eventful week ever)  It just proves that they stay true to the things that are important to them. It showed in all of the details of their wedding – from the groomsmen’s Converse sneakers to the Chinese elements tied into their reception. They even entertained their guests with a dragon dance performance! Lyndsay at Nature’s Point was super helpful as always, and Byrne Rock rocked the house (I love his website – the header reads “The Ultimate Badass DJ of the World” LOL!) Flowers: Petals Ink, Cake: Tiffany Braymen, Officiant: Raul Gonzalez.

Congrats Chris and Greg!

Dragon and Phoenix, their Chinese zodiac signs

Cuz this is Thriller...Thriller night!
