Scott

Sunday I had the opportunity to shoot some promo shots for Scott. He’s relatively new to Austin, having moved here last November from Seattle, where he was born and raised. So naturally, we picked what felt like the hottest day so far this summer (I seem to say that every day!) and he was a trooper all decked out looking cool in his gray suit. I was envisioning jazzy black-and-whites in alleys in the warehouse district, so I brought a hat thinking we could use it for a few shots. Turns out he kept it on the entire time and I think it looked great! Thanks for a fun time Scott-I expect to be on the guest list at your next show!

This one is for the ladies ;P

Love this one. I think I was making a paparazzi joke as people stopped
and stared trying to figure out who the heck he was…

Josh

Today my boss of seven years gets a new tattoo. He is a huge juggler, and when the tattoo is finished, it will be of two hands juggling several balls, each ball reading a different word. “Truth” “Hope” “Balance” etc. He’s a great father to two ridiculously smart and cute children, and husband to an awesome wife. This man cracks me up every day around the office with his sense of humor, and truly knows what it means to live life fully. Congrats Josh. It’s going to look SWEET when it’s done.

Mary+Eric

I met Mary+Eric through Traci+Charles, a couple whose wedding I shot almost exactly one year ago! They remembered me and contacted me to do some post-wedding portraits of them. They recently got married at Eric’s family’s ranch in Lockhart. They had a small intimate wedding surround by close family and friends. They decided to invest in having some really nice portraits done of them after they tied the knot. Not only did they just get married, they are relocating to the Big Apple so Eric can attend law school at Columbia! Congrats to you both and best wishes on your big move :)

One of my favorites.

Isn’t she gorgeous?

July Fourth

This July 4th weekend has been really chill. We swam and grilled at our house, then I watched my boss blow up fireworks 50 ft in the air in his driveway (I unfortunately missed the part where spectators were, for a moment, under fire by a rogue firework that skewed and bounced off a neighbor’s house before exploding). Then we topped the weekend off Sunday cruising down Lake Travis in our friend Thanasis’ boat. Pics below. A perfect weekend!
