Happy Halloween!

One of my favorite times of year–especially because everyone gets so creative. I kinda like the pressure of whipping up a costume together in less than 24 hours. So I spent too much time working on David’s costume, that I really don’t have anything to show for myself. But to entertain you in the meantime, check him out!!! Yeah. That’s my husband. Isn’t he dreamy?? LOL. I am making vintage cabinet cards to pass out to our friends. Happy Halloween!

Jeanie + Damon

Las Caletas, Puerto Vallarta

Jeanie and Damon are two of our very good friends. They decided to have a destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta with almost 50 guests. They didn’t expect such a big turn out, in which my opinion, isn’t surprising, as they are two wonderful people who have a strong commitment to family and friends. They work hard and put a lot of time and effort in everything they do, and it showed in their planning for the wedding. On a side note, they recently purchased a house in which they completely renovated top to bottom in just four months! Craziness!

They pulled out all the stops and showed everyone a good time in PV. Most of the guests stayed at the Dreams Hotel, and the wedding was a ferry-ride away on the private beach of Las Caletas. If you’ve never been there, you absolutely must go at some point in your life. It’s truly a magical place. Pristine jungles, beautiful beaches, vibrant locals…Puerto Vallarta has it all. We did a zipline canopy tour over a river gorge, ate fantastic fresh seafood, swam at a local swimming hole, and released baby sea turtles into the ocean!

Congrats Jeanie and Damon on an adventurous beginning together.

Jeanie surprised Damon with a HUGE python!

Say hello to my little friend!

Umm, the menu said this dish was for two  ;)

Is there anything cuter than hundreds of baby sea turtles??

Zoe + David

Omni Hotel

Zoe and David’s wedding was really fun. I knew most of the logistical details of the wedding, but I didn’t know how much of themselves they put into it. When I first saw Zoe in her dress, I actually gasped. I couldn’t believe that she and her bridesmaid Natasha designed it! The little red insets all over were really stunning and unique. David was also really creative and made cuff links from old watch parts for his groomsmen! I truly admire people who are not afraid to do something a little daring and still pull off a traditional ceremony. Speaking of which, my heart almost skipped a beat when I realized that the song she walked down the aisle to is one of my husband’s and my favorite songs, “Little Wing” by Stevie Ray Vaughn. Her entrance was very dramatic and long, and David was in tears by the time she reached the altar. All in all a beautiful wedding. A thumbs up too for an AWESOME wedding playlist ;) Congrats Zoe and David!

3-year anniversary

October 1 was our 3-year wedding anniversary! I can’t believe it’s been three years already. This year has gone by so fast, but it has been such a good one. David surprised me with a ravioli making class! I just wanted to share a quick picture with all of you.
